FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- QUESTION: Will I have the opportunity to meet with federal agencies and prime contractor representatives?
ANSWER: Yes. If you attend The Small Business Summit, day two includes "Industry Day" one-on-one meetings. And, if you include the Spotlight on the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, the afternoon session includes one-on-one meetings. You may also want to view the most recent list of confirmed agencies and prime contractors. - QUESTION: Do I pre-register for one-on-one meetings?
ANSWER: No. During the one-on-one meeting segments, we divide our attendees up by industry sector. During the session assigned for your industry sector, you may meet with several agencies in attendance for approximately 10 minutes each. We strongly suggest you bring a capabilities statement with your business details, industry codes, DUNS#, other numbers, socio-economic designations, past experience, core competencies, and any important key team members. You will provide this to the agencies and prime contractors. And, the representatives in attendance will help you to get connected to the best places for opportunity for your firm within their organizations. - QUESTION: Will this meeting include information and connections regionally and/or nationally?
ANSWER: This meeting will have information and connections to assist you both regionally and nationally. In addition to regional connections, we have several national agency leaders coming to the meeting to meet with small businesses. - QUESTION: I'm not a member of the National Association of Small Business Contractors or the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce. May I still attend?
ANSWER: Yes. We regularly have member and non-member attendees. Our members always receive a significant discount off the cost for attendance, as well as all the other benefits of membership. - QUESTION: I'd like to bring more than one person from my firm. Is that possible?
ANSWER: Yes. We frequently find that businesses bring more than one member of a firm. You may either register for two attendees, or register as a Gold or Silver Sponsor (both provide 2 attendees). - QUESTION: How do I know your meetings are worth my time and financial commitment?
ANSWER: We are very experienced at providing high quality meetings for small businesses seeking access to federal contracts. We invite you to note the strong turn out we have from federal agencies -- a great testament to the respect and connections we have within the contracting community. Additionally, we balance our educational sessions to provide information for both businesses that are experienced government contractors and those that are newer to this marketplace. And, our highly requested "Industry Day" provides you with excellent one-on-one interactions with agency and prime representatives.
